Pallet/Crate Builder - Afternoon Shift

2nd Shift, Monday - Friday, 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm

What you’ll do on a typical day:

Responsible for building crates, cutting lumber, working in shipping/receiving.
Properly cut, assemble, and build wood frame shipping crates.
Build and repair wood crates and cardboard U-Channels
Perform other job duties as assigned

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

General construction experience
Experience using basic hand and power tools
Ability to read a tape measure and make accurate cuts
Availability to work a flexible schedule, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends
Adhere to all safety guidelines and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Strong attention to detail and comfort working in a warehouse setting
Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize work throughout the day based on operational needs
Perform other duties as assigned

It’d be great if you also have:

Woodworking experience
Carpentry skills
Shipping and receiving experience
High school diploma or equivalent

This job requires the ability to:

Lift up to 50 lbs.
Walk, stand, bend, reach above shoulder level, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel
Work with wood, tools and packaging materials throughout the shift
