Customer Fulfilment Assistant Part Time

Do you enjoy providing great customer service and thrive in a hands-on role? GXO is currently recruiting for a Customer Fulfilment Assistant to join our busy Click & Collect operation.

 

You'll be the face of our operation, supporting customers as they collect their orders and ensuring every interaction is professional, efficient, and customer focused. This varied role also includes providing cover for our Van Drivers when required, helping to support the transport team during holidays, absence, and periods of increased business demand.

 

This is a part-time, permanent position, offering 27 hours per week, working Monday to Friday, from 07:00 to 12:30, providing an excellent work-life balance with your afternoons free.

What you’ll be doing on a typical day:

 

  • Welcome customers collecting their orders and deliver excellent customer service at every interaction
  • Check, process, and hand over customer orders accurately and efficiently
  • Pick, prepare, and stage customer orders ready for collection
  • Manage collection records and ensure all customer documentation is completed correctly
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised Click & Collect environment
  • Provide cover for Van Drivers when required, carrying out local deliveries in a safe and professional manner
  • Build positive relationships with customers and colleagues, resolving queries in a professional manner
  • Follow all company health and safety procedures, driving regulations, and operational policies

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • A passion for delivering excellent customer service
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  • A positive, proactive, and flexible approach to work 
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment 
  • Good attention to detail and basic IT skills 
  • A full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Previous experience in customer service, retail, warehouse, logistics, or delivery environments would be advantageous but is not essential, as full training will be provided
  • Be comfortable with a physically demanding role, including frequent manual handling and heavy lifting of tyre
