The Accounting Manager will manage the daily, monthly and quarterly activities of the Corporate Office’s Accounts Payable and related accrual accounting processes. This will include the completion of various account reconciliations and analyses. Supervise the senior accountant located in the Greenwich office as well as manage assigned GOSC resources located in India.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Perform and supervise month-end close activities.
- Prepare and review monthly journal entries (prepaids, accruals, etc.).
- Conduct and review balance sheet reconciliations.
- Lead process documentation and enhancement efforts.
- Handle team and corporate accounting processes.
- Participate in a hybrid work schedule with 3 days onsite and 2 days working remotely.
- Have a working knowledge of Debt and Derivatives processes and accounting.
- Address accounting issues that arise on a timely basis, in particular related to accruals and other vendor specific spending analyses.
- Lead various accounting and reporting process improvement initiatives and system enhancements to improve efficiency.
- Supervise, train and develop staff accountants; interact with multiple departments including Finance and Operations.
- Working within the Corporate Controllership team
- Interaction with internal and external audit
- Presentation of information to the internal leadership team
- Collaboration with other finance functions both at Corporate and within regions
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 7+ years’ experience in Accounting or Finance
- Strong US GAAP Knowledge
