Class 1 Driver

Here at GXO Logistics, we are looking for a Class 1 Driver who has a passion for customer service to join team in Harlow, CM19 5AW, carrying out a mixture of deliveries for our Home Delivery network, delivering to/collecting from distribution centres in the UK. There will also be occasions where the role will require you to perform shunting duties at the Harlow site.
You will be working 48 hours per week, on a shift pattern of, 5 days out of 7 (Monday to Saturday) starting between 05:00 to 07:00, 10:00 to 13:00 or 17:00 to 20:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Delivering empty/filled trailers to distribution centres as well as collecting
- Ensuring loads have been secured
- Drive in a safe, responsible and courteous manner at all times, and in accordance with company policy & procedures, legislation and traffic regulations.
- Carry out truck checks and ensure that defects are reported immediately and complete all paperwork in line with procedure
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- A full UK driving licence with category C+E entitlement
- A valid Driver Qualification Card and Digital Tachograph Card
- No more than 6 current penalty points
- No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, LC or TT99 endorsements with a conviction date within the previous 5 years
- Previous experience in trunking would be an advantage
