As an Operations Manager within one of Europe’s leading logistics service providers, you will take full ownership of daily operations across multiple departments. You translate strategy into execution, balance customer requirements with operational efficiency, and build a strong leadership culture that delivers results—every day.
This role is based at our Heerlen Site and will work a 40 hour week, Monday – Friday - normal day shift (flexibility around start times)
How you make an impact
- Lead and oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring targets for safety, quality, productivity, and service are consistently achieved
- Coach, challenge, and develop your leadership team to create ownership, engagement, and high performance across all shifts
- Translate customer requirements and volume forecasts into effective operational planning and capacity management
- Monitor KPIs closely, analyze performance trends, and take decisive action to address deviations and bottlenecks
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality standards, and labor legislation
- Lead change effectively in a fast‑moving environment, supporting growth, automation, and process optimization
- Review results, celebrate successes, and continuously raise the performance bar for your operation
What you need to succeed at GXO
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business
- Proven experience as an Operations Manager within a 3PL logistics environment
- Strong people leadership experience, including managing and developing leaders
- Solid understanding of warehouse operations, KPIs, and cost control
- Experience working with automated and high‑volume logistics operations is an advantage
- Excellent communication skills in English; Dutch is preferred
- A hands‑on, results‑driven mindset combined with strong analytical and strategic capabilities
