Teamleader

Logistics at full potential – and your leadership at the heart of it

Do you get real energy from leading teams, improving processes, and seeing people succeed because of your guidance?

If you're ready to take the next step in your leadership career, this is your opportunity to make a visible impact within GXO — working with a leading global fashion retailer in a fast-paced, modern logistics environment in Heerlen.

This isn’t just another Team Leader role. This is your chance to shape performance, influence change, and grow your career in a business that genuinely values your ideas.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll take ownership of your team’s success — creating an environment where people feel motivated, supported, and empowered to perform at their best.

  • Lead, coach and develop a team of coordinators and warehouse colleagues (FTE & flex)
  • Create a positive, safe and high-performing team culture
  • Drive performance through clear communication, coaching and feedback
  • Own daily operations and ensure work is delivered efficiently, safely and to the highest standards
  • Lead start-up meetings and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes — and take action
  • Ensure work instructions and processes stay accurate, consistent and effective
  • Play an active role in people decisions — from hiring to performance and development

What you’ll bring

You don’t need to tick every box — but your leadership style and mindset matter.

  • Experience leading teams within logistics or a similar operational environment
  • A natural ability to motivate, engage and bring people with you
  • Strong communication skills (English required, Dutch is a plus)
  • Confidence working with WMS and operational systems including automation
  • A proactive mindset — you spot improvements and act on them
  • The ability to quickly understand processes and make them better whilst navigating within a complex environment
  • Flexibility to work in a 2‑shift pattern (06:00–15:00 / 15:00–00:00), including some Saturdays

What we offer you

  • Market-based salary, fits your knowledge and experience
  • A dynamic organization, in which space for ownership and development are central
  • In charge of your own success and the necessary support in your development
  • A new challenge in an entrepreneurial, open, and informal organizational culture
  • A pleasant working atmosphere with nice colleagues
