Warehouse Team Leader, Nights

Our customer offers bespoke, beautiful furniture which requires upmost care to deliver to our end customers. You’ll undertake day-to-day warehouse tasks, ensuring targets are met and at the highest standard of quality for our customer. You’ll focus on team engagement, more and collaboratively deliver an excellence service.

 

This is a full time, permanent opportunity. Working any 5 days out of 7 on a shift pattern of 22:00 to 06:00.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £31,823.83 per annum (plus 15% night premium), and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). Your benefits package includes a company sponsored pension scheme, life assurance and access to our benefits platform, including retail discounts!

 

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Lead, motivate and develop your warehouse team to achieve and exceed performance targets
  • Drive operational success by managing resources effectively and delivering against key KPIs including cost, quality, service and attendance
  • Champion a strong Health & Safety culture, ensuring compliance and promoting best practice across the operation
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, providing coaching, feedback and improvement plans where needed
  • Oversee daily warehouse activities, including picking, packing, loading, unloading and returns, to ensure a smooth and efficient operation

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Previous experience stepping up to lead or supervise a team within a warehouse environment, with a strong understanding of warehouse management systems
  • A customer-focused approach and the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the confidence to make decisions and drive improvements
  • A personable, adaptable and solutions-focused team player; experience within a retail or supply chain warehouse environment and (MHE licence would be a benefit due to being a part of our home delivery network!)
