Shift Manager

Here at GXO, we’re looking for an ambitious and motivated Shift Manager to join our multi-user site in West Hallam. You’ll support the Operations Manager in leading a busy warehouse operation. You’ll be responsible for coordinating people, resourced, and processes to ensure operational KPIs are consistently achieved while creating a safe, engaged, and high-performing team culture.
This is a full-time, permanent position. Typically you will work Monday to Friday, 08:00 till 16:30, however during peak periods, you will move on to rotating shift, so flexibility is required!

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Lead, coach and develop Team Leader and Warehouse Colleagues, creating a motivated and high-performing workforce
- Drive operational performance, ensuring daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs and customer service targets are consistently achieved
- Manage warehouse resources effectively, including workforce planning, shift cover, workload allocation, and productivity monitoring
- Champion Health & Safety compliance, ensuring all colleagued follow safe systems of work and operational procedures
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Experience leading teams within a warehouse, logistics, distribution, or operational environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate, engage, and develop colleagues at all levels
- Experience managing employee relations, performance, absence, and workforce planning within a fast-paced operation
- Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation and operational compliance requirements
