Warehouse Team Leader

Here at GXO, we’re looking for an enthusiastic and driven Warehouse Team Leader to join our multi-user site in West Hallam. You’ll support our Shift Manager in delivering a safe, efficient, and high-performing warehouse operation. You’ll play a key role in creating a positive team culture while driving productivity, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.

 

This is a full-time, permanent role. You will typically work Monday to Friday, 08:00 till 16:30, however, during peak periods you will move over to rotating shifts, so flexibility is required!

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Leading and motivating a team of Warehouse Operatives, creating a positive and high-performing working environment
  • Monitoring operational performance to ensure customer requirements, productivity targets, and KPIs are met or exceeded
  • Prioritising and delegating workloads effectively to ensure deadlines and service levels are consistently achieved
  • Championing Health & Safety, ensuring colleagues always follow safe systems of work and site procedures
  • Supporting colleague development, providing coaching, training, and guidance to help individuals and the wider team succeed

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or operational leadership role
  • Strong people management and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and engage teams
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities, with experience managing competing priorities
  • A proactive approach to Health & Safety, with a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
  • Confidence in using performance data and reporting, with the ability to monitor productivity and drive improvements
