Class 1 Driver

Here at GXO Logistics, we are currently looking for the full-time, permanent HGV Class 1 Drivers to become a part of our growing team in Thrapston for our customer, an Irish multinational fashion retailer, Primark.
You will be contracted to work 45 hours per week on the shift pattern of Friday – Tuesday with the start time window of 16:00 – 20:00.

- Annual salary of circa £50,000 (between £49,061 and £51,231 based on a start time, which includes shift allowance and weekend premiums)
- Overtime paid at time and a half rate after 45 hours per week or for an extra shift per week

What you will do on a typical day:
- Predominantly single-drop deliveries to Primark stores (occasional 2–3 drop routes)
- Palletised loads, well-planned routes with minimal waiting and quick turnaround on site
- Operate vehicles safely, legally, and efficiently
- Efficient digital debrief processes, designed to minimise paperwork
- Comply with Driver’s hours, Tachograph, Working Time, and Road Traffic Act regulations
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Full UK driving licence with category C+E entitlement
- Valid Driver Qualification and Digital Tachograph Cards
- No more than 6 penalty points
- No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements within the previous 5 years
- Previous experience driving category C+E vehicles is desirable
