Warehouse First Line Manager

We are looking for a Warehouse First Line Manager to join our Castore operation at Knowsley, Liverpool. You’ll be responsible for delivering operational excellence in efficiency, quality and cost for your area and team, through the development of people, processes, facilities and deployment of best practices.
This is a full time, permanent role, where you’ll work on an any 5 from 7 shift pattern, this will typically be Tuesday to Saturday however flexibility will be required, this is logistics after all! The hours of work will be 14:00 – 22:00.

You’ll be paid a salary of up to £29,000 per annum. What you’ll do on a typical day:

First line management of a team of warehouse operatives - regularly reviewing attendance, performance, and conduct, within a fast-paced environment where tasks and requirements can change rapidly

Departmental management focus ensuring that inbound and outbound operations are processing as efficiently as possible

Ensure that resource hours are recorded accurately and that budget variance is highlighted and mitigated appropriately

Operate as a part of a close-knit team working together to deliver results for the business and our customer

Take the lead on continuous improvement initiatives with a focus on cost-saving opportunities
What you need to succeed at GXO:

A proven track record at team leader level, within a fast-paced warehouse environment

The ability to effectively lead, develop and manage a team, whilst identifying areas for development and recognising success

Ability to work within time timescales, effectively manage workload, and experience of change management to drive improvement

Exemplary communication skills, and an ability to confidently converse across all levels of the business
