HR Site Manager
HR Site Manager – Lelystad Platform
Driving People Strategy Where It Matters Most
At our fast-growing logistics hub in Lelystad, we are looking for an experienced and hands-on HR Manager who plays a key role in shaping the people agenda of one of the largest logistics operations in the Netherlands.
In this role, you act as the link between operations and management, translating business needs into effective HR strategies and ensuring strong execution on the floor. You lead a team of 4 HR professionals and work closely with site leadership to build a high-performing, engaged and stable workforce.
You will be at the forefront of key people challenges such as absenteeism, turnover, leadership development and culture, making a direct impact on the success and sustainability of the operation.
What your week looks like as a HR Site Manager
- Act as a strategic HR business partner to site leadership, aligning people strategy with operational goals and performance.
- Lead and develop your HR team (4 FTE), ensuring strong execution of all HR processes across the site.
- Drive initiatives to reduce absenteeism and turnover, identifying root causes and implementing sustainable improvement actions.
- Strengthen leadership capability by coaching managers, supporting performance management and driving leadership development programs.
- Shape and improve site culture, promoting engagement, ownership and a positive working environment.
- Support and challenge the operation on workforce planning, performance, employee relations and organizational development.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, GXO policies and HR standards, while maintaining a fair and consistent approach.
What do we offer you?
- A key role within one of the largest and most advanced logistics hubs in the Netherlands.
- A competitive salary, depending on your experience, supported by a solid benefits package with a company car and end year bonus.
- Real career opportunities within an international organisation that invests in your development, with transparent growth paths toward senior coordinator, trainer, HR or operations roles.
- A strong people-first culture built on safety, teamwork and continuous improvement, within a dynamic environment of motivated colleagues where no day is the same.
- Access to a high-quality company restaurant, where professional chefs prepare fresh, healthy meals every day for just a few euro.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR, Business Administration or a related field.
- Proven experience as an HR Manager or senior HR Business Partner, preferably within logistics, operations or a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership experience, including managing and developing HR teams.
- Experience dealing with high absenteeism, turnover and organizational challenges, with the ability to translate analysis into action.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, able to influence both operational teams and senior management.
- Solid knowledge of Dutch labor law and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication skills in English (and preferably Dutch, but not a must).
- A hands-on, resilient and pragmatic mindset, comfortable working close to the operation and dealing with complexity.
