GXO is seeking a visionary Director of Logistics that will specifically be focused on spearheading Continuous Improvement, Automation, Pilots, and Special Projects. As our 15-year partnership enters a phase of hyper-growth, this results-driven role will have a mandate to govern, standardize, and enforce robust process flow enhancements. This individual will be the primary architect for scaling operational excellence and the quantitative validation of productivity gains across all GXO-managed operations.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- This role is responsible for identifying, piloting, and scaling innovative solutions that drive productivity, safety, and cost-efficiency.
- Automation & AI Leadership: Drive the automation solution integration to optimize efficiency and accuracy in the operations.
- Strategic Pilot Management: Lead high-impact trials in collaboration with Google and ensure SOP / SWI alignment and rollout management.
- Operational Excellence (CI): Direct the program, ensuring sites move from pilot assessments to full-scale self-assessment and validation.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Represent GXO in Google’s forums, aligning innovation projects with Google's broader strategic priorities.
What you need to succeed at GXO:
At a minimum, you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field
- 7 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or industrial automation, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Proven experience leading dispersed teams and managing in matrixed environments
- Proven track record of identifying and implementing automation solutions in warehouses or distribution environments
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, cost drivers, and ROI modeling
- Experience managing cross-functional projects with measurable performance outcomes
- Familiarity with automation technologies such as robotics, AS/RS, conveyor systems, and AGVs
- Strong experience in leading process automation functions by building governance, principles, processes and methodologies
It’d be great if you also have:
- Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), order routing, and process optimization
- Exposure to Lean Six Sigma methodologies
