Transport Administrato

We're looking for a Transport Administrator to join our night shift operation at the Iceland Distribution Centre in Livingston. Working behind the scenes, you'll help keep vehicles moving, drivers compliant and customers happy, ensuring products reach stores across the UK. You'll play a key role in supporting the smooth running of the transport operation, helping to coordinate deliveries efficiently while maintaining excellent service standards.

This is a full-time, permanent night shift position, working any 5 from 7, covering the hours of 22:00 to 06:00.

 What you will do on a typical day:

 

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support for the transport operation
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, colleagues, management teams and customers to ensure smooth operations
  • Monitor driver compliance, including tachograph records and Working Time Directive requirements
  • Resolve transport and customer service issues quickly and professionally
  • Support labour planning and resource deployment to meet operational and legal requirements
  • Maintain accurate transport records and contribute to achieving operational KPIs

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with drivers, colleagues and external partners
  • Strong organisational skills, with a proactive approach and the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment
  • positive, team-focused attitude, with the ability to build strong working relationships
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
  • Previous administration experience, ideally within a transport or logistics environment
