Warehouse Shift Manager (Nights)

This is a full time, permanent opportunity reporting into Operations Manager, working alongside 3 other leaders. You’ll be joining a team circa of 30, based in our Hemel Hempstead (HP2 7EQ) site for our customer Cormar Carpets.
Working contracted hours of 37.5 hours per week, Sunday to Thursday 22:00 to 06:00 (flexibility required for business needs).

What you’ll do on a typical day:
• Take full operational responsibility for the day to day running of the warehouse on your shift, you’ll lead, motivate and develop your team to achieve challenging targets
• Effectively lead, develop and manage our team, whilst identifying areas for development and recognising success
• Create and maintain a positive team culture, by actively encouraging involvement from all, to improve employee engagement
• Drive a strong health & safety culture through visible leadership, proactive risk management and full compliance with site procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all colleagues
• Communicate effectively with senior management, providing updates and insight
What you need to succeed at GXO:
• Previous warehouse logistics experience as a Shift Manager in a large, fast-paced warehouse environment
• Experience managing conflicting priorities, with the ability to plan and organise a warehouse operation
• Excellent people skills - the ability to effectively lead, develop and manage a team, whilst identifying areas for development and recognising success
