HR Advisor (12-month FTC)

Here at GXO, we’re looking for a HR Advisor to support our Primark Lutterworth site, you’ll partner closely with managers across the operations to provide timely, practical and people-focused HR support. Reporting into the HR Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering the site and GXO HR strategy, embedding positive behaviours and supporting a high-performance culture within a dynamic environment.

 

This role is being offered on a 12 fixed term contract basis. You will work Monday to Friday, 09:00 till 17:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Provide expert advice to managers and colleagues on employee relations, absence, performance, discipline and grievance matters, ensuring consistency and fairness
  • Support and deliver people development initiatives, including manager training, engagement activities and culture change programmes
  • Support the end‑to‑end recruitment process across all levels, ensuring contracts, compliance and internal processes are completed accurately
  • Lead absence management, long‑term sickness and return‑to‑work processes, driving initiatives to reduce absence levels

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Experience in a similar HR Advisor or generalist role, ideally within a fast‑paced operational or logistics environment
  • Able to build trusted relationships at all levels and challenge with credibility and professionalism
  • Confident advising on policies, employee relations and change management, with excellent attention to detail
  • CIPD Level 3 qualification or working towards this
