At GXO, we are looking for a QHSE Advisor to join our team in Lutterworth, supporting our customer, BT. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring safety and compliance, helping the site and contract team streamline processes while maximising safety, training, and quality. You’ll also drive ESG initiatives, sharing best practices, contributing ideas, and tracking progress toward sustainability goals.

 

This is a full time, permanent position, predominately working Monday – Friday, 09:00-17:00, with some flexibility required.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £31,700.00 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Ensure a safe working environment and to operate in accordance with company Health & Safety policies to include Road to Zero
  • Ensure adequate accident investigations are carried out with appropriate support from QHSE and to take corrective action as appropriate
  • Undertake daily Health & Safety checks to ensure full compliance
  • Develop, update and maintain written safety and health procedures in compliance with company policies
  • Participate in incident investigations; ensure complete and accurate incident documentation and reporting
  • Conduct compliance audits to ensure practices and record accuracy, including QSHE documentation

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • NEBOSH General Certificate or NVQ level 3 and following CPD programme (minimum)
  • Experience of working in a complex, fast-moving warehousing environment
  • Good working knowledge of H&S Law, with previous experience of auditing is highly desirable
  • Driving licence - Ability to travel to other sites / Locations when required
  • Experience reporting safety metrics (leading/lagging indicators)
  • People focused; empathy, engagement and development
