Finance Manager

Are you a commercially focused Finance Manager who excels at delivering accurate, timely management accounts, insightful analysis to drive operational and customer decision‑making? We’re looking for you to join us as our Finance Manager, for our customer Greene King, based in our Middleton site.

 

You’ll be responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of weekly and monthly management accounts for the Greene King contract. The role provides highquality financial control, reporting and analysis to support operational and commercial decisionmaking. Building and developing strong working relationships with site operational teams, customers and central support functions, you’ll provide clear financial insight, KPI reporting and commercial challenge.

This is a full time, permanent opportunity with core hours of
Monday to Friday 08:00 to 16:00 (flexibility required for business needs). We have flexibility to offer hybrid working, being based in the office for 3 to 4 days per week.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £62.000 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Own timely and accurate weekly/month‑end management accounts, including Oracle reconciliations, P&L postings, balance sheet controls, accruals, prepayments, revenue reconciliations and SOX compliance
  • Create and maintain rolling forecasts and budgets, delivering detailed cost, variance and performance analysis to strengthen cost control and forecasting accuracy
  • Provide clear KPI reporting, financial insight and monthly reporting packs to operational teams, customers and the Finance Business Partner, meeting all reporting deadlines
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through cost/benefit analysis, ad‑hoc financial analysis and proactive identification of opportunities to enhance commercial and operational performance

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Own accurate, compliant financial control and reporting for site, contract and customer performance, including SOX compliance, balance sheet controls and revenue reconciliations
  • Deliver consistent, timely weekly and month‑end management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, P&L postings and Oracle reconciliations
  • Create and maintain rolling forecasts and budgets, strengthening cost control through detailed variance, performance and forecast analysis
  • Provide clear KPI reporting, customer reporting packs and financial insight, focusing on continuous improvement initiatives through cost/benefit analysis and proactive identification of opportunities to enhance performance
  • CIMA / ACCA finalist or newly qualified
