Class 1 Driver

Here at GXO Logistics, we are looking for a full-time, permanent Class 1 driver to join our prestigious client based in Middlewich, CW10 0GY

You will be contracted to work on a 4 on 4 off rota, 03:00 and 10:00, working 42.46 hours per week.

In accordance with Civil Aviation Security Requirements all roles related to this site and contract are subject to the candidate achieving required security clearance, including BPSS clearance covering a full 5-year period including a basic DBS check

 What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Carry out single and double deck deliveries from base to last mile provider, with occasional supplier collections and onsite shunting
  • Ensure safe, accurate, and timely delivery of customer products, securing loads and reporting any vehicle defects
  • Deliver excellent customer service, taking ownership of delivery queries and supporting other contracts when required
  • Be a flexible team player, willing to work nights out when needed and attend essential training

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • A full UK driving licence with category C+E Entitlement, up to date CPC and Digital Tachograph card with no more than 6 penalty points on your licence (no DD, DR, DG, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT endorsements)
  • Strong customer awareness with a genuine commitment to delivering first‑class service
  • Excellent timekeeping, enthusiastic approach, and able to work independently
  • Clear communication skills with a flexible approach to day‑to‑day work
  • Good geographical knowledge to support efficient and punctual deliveries
