MHE Trainer

If so, GXO would love you to join our team in Middlewich as our MHE Trainer. In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting our Learning & Development strategy by delivering high-quality operational and MHE training to new and existing colleagues. You’ll ensure everyone has the skills, confidence and knowledge they need to work safely and efficiently, while helping us maintain full compliance with legal and operational standards.
This is a full‑time, permanent position, working on a 4 on 4 off, 6am–6pm shift pattern.

You’ll be paid a salary of £31,672 per annum. What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Deliver engaging, high-quality inductions, site tours and operational training sessions
- Train colleagues on MHE equipment (such as Counterbalance, LLOP and PPT) in line with accredited standards and site requirements
- Support colleagues through coaching and on-the-job learning to build capability and confidence
- Ensure all training is accurately recorded, maintained and compliant with legal and operational standards, working closely with operational teams, HR and L&D colleagues to meet site training needs
- Carry out regular MHE and safety observations, supporting a strong QHSE culture, maintain training matrices and update systems to ensure records are always audit-ready
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, ideally delivering operational training, with 6 months Counterbalance experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage different audiences
- Good understanding of Health & Safety, SOPs and safe systems of work
- Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities with a flexible, approachable and solutions-focused mindset
