Transport Administrator

Here at GXO, we’re recruiting a Transport Administrator to join our busy dynamic team in Middlewich, CW10 0JP working in partnership with our customer British Salt.

 

You will be working full-time, Monday to Friday, covering the hours of 11:00 to 19:00.

As a Transport Administrator, you will receive:

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Provide general administrative support in line with transport legislation and company procedures
  • Support the Transport Management team with day-to-day operations
  • You’ll manage vehicle movements, tracking, servicing schedules, and fleet maintenance/defects
  • Coordinate driver paperwork, bookings, and conduct pre- and de-briefs
  • Ensure compliance with KPIs, SLAs, and Health & Safety standards while liaising with key teams and partners

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Previous experience in the logistics sector is desirable, but not essential
  • Strong Administration skills, proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) with the ability to work to tight deadlines with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with strong verbal and written abilities  
  • Self-motivated and flexible team player, with a customer-focused approach and awareness of Health & Safety
