Facilities Service Engineer

Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Facilities Service Engineer to join our team in Milton Keynes, supporting our two sites for our customer Waitrose. As a Facilities Service Engineer you will carry out planned mechanical preventative maintenance on cage repairs and racking repairs including reactive repairs, PPM’s and racking inspections while utilising the computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) to support the smooth running of the operation.
This is a full time, permanent position, working Monday to Friday on a rotating shift pattern of 05:30 till 13:30 and 13:30 till 21:30.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Effective upkeep and performance of mechanical and equipment up to employee trained competency level
- Identify and progress continuous improvement opportunities within the department and across all areas of the operation, enhancing the service to our customer
- Monitor plant and mechanical equipment as necessary including use of the BMS system
- Required from time to time to cover mechanical maintenance tasks at other Waitrose campus sites as part of the Waitrose Engineering Team
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Holder of 18th edition wiring is desirable however, not essential. We will support you to gain this in your first six months
- Response to and reporting of incidents to ensure communication is maintained across shifts
- Facilities/engineering mechanical background with an apprenticeship being advantageous
