Planning Coordinator

Here at GXO, we’re looking for a Planning Coordinator to join our team at our River Island site in Milton Keynes. This is a key role where you’ll lead planning and forecasting activity, ensuring operational and resource plans are aligned to deliver outstanding service for our customer. You’ll work cross-functionally with multiple departments, driving continuous improvement and playing a vital part in shaping the site’s strategic direction.

 

This is a full time, permanent position, working Monday to Friday, 8:00 till16:00.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £35,000.00 per annum and 28 days annual leave (inc bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Lead and deliver daily operational and resource plans across the site
  • Monitor forecasts, identify risks, and ensure KPI and service targets are achieved
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to align planning with operational and financial objectives
  • Analyse trends (including attendance and seasonal demand) to drive continuous improvement
  • Support peak planning, agency management, and cost-saving initiatives

  • Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively
  • Confidence in influencing and challenging stakeholders across all levels
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work under pressure while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
  • A proactive, organised approach with a drive to exceed expectations
