Operations Manager

Here at GXO, we’re looking for a motivated Operations Manager to join our BAE Systems site based in Glasgow. You will be responsible for the effective management of inventory operations, warehouse systems, and associated data, ensuring alignment with customer, contractual, regulatory, health & safety and internal governance standards.
This is a full-time, permanent position. You’ll be working Monday to Friday 07:00 - 16:30.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £46,000 per annum. What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Motivate and manage a team of Team Leaders and MTOs to meet and exceed performance objectives
- Effectively manage resources to achieve and report on operational KPI’s across receiving, putaway, DRL dwell time, NC returns, cycle counting, stock integrity & operational cost.
- Create and review performance reports, making recommendations for improvements
- Ensure a proactive approach to Health & Safety using reporting and ensuring team members comply with Health & Safety policies
- Where necessary, support with disciplinary and grievance meetings ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- You will be a strong communicator and problem solver with the ability to analyse operational data, identify improvement opportunities, and implement solutions that enhance productivity, accuracy, and efficiency
- Proven ability to manage stock accuracy, system governance and compliance in safety‑critical or customer‑audited operations
- Strong people‑management experience, including performance management, training, engagement and continuous improvement delivery
- Sound working knowledge of health & safety, quality and compliance requirements
