Regional Vertical Leader – Healthcare – France/Italy

Reporting to the SVP, Sales – Continental Europe, you’ll be responsible for leading industry stakeholder relationship development, defining the go-to-market (GTM) strategy, driving opportunity development, and ultimately supporting the sales growth of GXO’s Healthcare vertical across Continental Europe.

Working closely with sales, solutions, and operational teams, you will focus on the activity needed to “land, expand and scale” business growth with both existing clients and new logos.

We are seeking a seasoned Healthcare sector expert with strong market credibility, the ability to influence senior stakeholders, and a proven track record of building high-value pipelines, shaping GTM strategy, and positioning GXO as a trusted partner within the Healthcare ecosystem.

 

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • In coordination with the Global Healthcare vertical team, define the Healthcare strategy for Continental Europe. Own execution in-region and align Regional Sales teams for success, including resource planning, target setting, and timelines.
  • Identify, target, and build influential stakeholder relationships across the Healthcare ecosystem, including, pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical manufacturers, medical device and diagnostics companies, contract Development & Manufacturing Organisations (CDMOs), Healthcare providers, hospital networks, and distributors, Regulatory and quality-focused stakeholders within the supply chain
  • Represent GXO externally as a credible, trusted thought partner by bringing healthcare supply chain innovation, regulatory-compliant logistics solutions, temperature-controlled operations, and digital transformation capabilities to the forefront.
  • Act as the voice of the customer for healthcare, ensuring the right value propositions and solutions feed into GXO’s service offerings and growth roadmap, particularly in relation to patient-centric supply chains and regulatory compliance.
  • Work cross-functionally to build and articulate value-led propositions, including, solution design inputs (e.g. cold chain, traceability, GDP compliance), commercial models and pricing strategy, customer business case development
  • Coordinate and influence the end-to-end strategic sales cycle, ensuring effective engagement with internal stakeholders (solutions, operations, quality, compliance, finance, IT, automation, etc.).
  • Partner with account teams to retain, grow, and deepen existing customer relationships through expansion opportunities and innovation-led value creation.
  • Support capability growth in the Healthcare vertical by sharing knowledge, coaching sales teams, and embedding best practices across the region.
  • Enable Regional Sales teams to secure new business wins and pipeline growth within the Healthcare sector.
 

What you need to succeed in this role at GXO:

 

  • Established network and credibility within the European Healthcare sector.
  • Experience working with pharmaceutical, life sciences or healthcare distribution organisations is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare supply chains, including, GDP (Good Distribution Practice) and regulatory compliance, temperature-controlled logistics (cold chain, ambient, frozen), product traceability and serialization, critical inventory management and patient-critical delivery timelines
  • Executive presence with strong influencing skills, capable of navigating complex, multi-stakeholder global organisations.
  • Deep understanding of customer pain points in the Healthcare sector, such as, regulatory complexity and compliance requirements, supply chain resilience and risk mitigation, product integrity and quality assurance, speed-to-patient and service criticality, sustainability in life sciences logistics
  • Ability to position GXO as a strategic partner and advisor, using a consultative, solution-led approach.
  • Analytical and structured thinker, with experience developing GTM strategies, account plans, and market assessments.
  • Highly collaborative, with the ability to work across countries, functions, and global teams.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable working in ambiguous or developing vertical environments.
  • Experience using Salesforce CRM or similar commercial platforms.
  • Fluency in English required; French and/or Italian language skills required given the location and regional scope.
  • Familiarity with European Healthcare regulatory frameworks (e.g. GDP, EMA considerations) is highly advantageous.

This is a regional role requiring regular travel (approximately 50%), with a base location in France or Italy, operating in a hybrid/home-office model with travel across Continental Europe as required.
