MI Analyst
Do you love turning data into decisions? Can you spot trends, inefficiencies and opportunities others miss? Want to play a key role in keeping a busy transport operation running smarter, faster and more cost-effectively?
We are looking for an MI Analyst to join our Currys site in Newark. Operating at the heart of a 24/7 logistics environment, you'll transform large volumes of transport data into meaningful insights that drive performance, efficiency and service improvements. Supporting an operation that delivers more than 100 trips every day across the UK and ROI, backed by a fleet of 80+ vehicles, you'll be the go-to expert for reporting, analysis and performance visibility. Working closely with planners and transport operations, you'll provide the insight that helps make better decisions on routing, scheduling, fleet utilisation and cost control.
This is a full-time, permanent role, working Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00
Pay, benefits and more:
We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £40,000 per annum and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). Your benefits package includes flexible dental insurance plans, a company sponsored pension scheme, a 24/7 online GP service, life assurance and a fully comprehensive employee assistance programme. You’ll also have access to our MyBenefits platform offering a variety of high street discounts, a cycle to work scheme, cashback cards, a saving scheme and much more!
What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Turn transport data into clear, actionable insights that support routing, scheduling, forecasting and day-to-day operational decision-making
- Build and maintain dashboards, reports and KPIs that provide visibility of service performance, costs, fleet utilisation and network efficiency
- Analyse trends, service failures, delays, cost variances and operational performance to identify improvement and cost-saving opportunities
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data across TMS, telematics and planning systems, while automating and improving reporting processes
- Partner with planners, transport teams and stakeholders to provide recommendations, support continuous improvement initiatives and drive data-led decision making
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into meaningful business insight
- Advanced Excel skills and experience using reporting and visualisation tools such as Power BI or similar
- Experience working with operational, transport, logistics or supply chain data in a fast-paced environment
