Class 2 Driver

Are you an experienced Class 2 Driver looking for a rare Monday to Friday role with a great work-life balance? GXO is currently recruiting for our long-standing partnership with BT, based in Northallerton (DL6 2PJ), supporting a key contract delivering essential equipment across the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced, customer-focused operation where safety, service and reliability are at the heart of everything we do. As part of the role, you’ll also be supported in gaining training on a Forklift and Moffett truck.

 

This is a full-time, permanent role with a rare and highly sought-after Monday to Friday schedule, covering the hours between 06:00 and 14:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Carry out multi-drop deliveries and collections across the UK
  • Ensure all deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule
  • Perform safe manual handling in line with training
  • Use HHT (handheld technology) compliantly
  • Conduct dynamic risk assessments at delivery/collection points
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional manner at all times

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • MHE Licence for Moffett
  • A valid Class 2 licence with an up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph
  • Less than six points on your licence (as well as no DD, DR, DG, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT endorsements)
  • An up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph
  • A strong understanding of road safety and vehicle compliance
  • A team player with a professional attitude and excellent timekeeping
  • Willingness to be trained on a Forklift and Moffett truck
