FLT Driver

Here at GXO Northampton, we are currently recruiting for full-time, permanent FLT Drivers to join our team in Swan Valley, supporting one of our new business wins! From unloading and receiving stock to put-away, replenishment and supporting picking operations, you'll play a key role in keeping products moving safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse while helping to deliver an excellent service to our customer.

 

You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, contracted to 40 hours per week. We are currently recruiting for the following shift patterns:

 

  • Rotating shift pattern: Week 1 – Monday to Friday / Week 2 – Sunday to Thursday, covering the hours of 06:00 to 14:00 and 14:00 to 22:00
  • Night shift: Week 1 – Monday to Friday / Week 2 – Sunday to Thursday, covering the hours of 22:00 to 06:00

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Operate MHE equipment safely and efficiently to support warehouse operations, ensuring all activities are completed in line with site procedures and safety standards
  • Support goods-in, goods-out and stock control activities using the Warehouse Management System (WMS), including unloading, put-away, replenishment, picking and dispatch operations
  • Work efficiently and flexibly to achieve daily productivity, service and accuracy targets, both independently and as part of a team within a fast-paced distribution centre environment
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised working area by following all Health & Safety procedures, Safe Systems of Work and Standard Operating Procedures, while proactively reporting hazards and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Previous FLT operating experience within warehouse or logistics environment is essential
  • A self-motivated and reliable approach, with the ability to work honestly and with integrity at all times
  • The ability to work safely and accurately, following processes and SOPs with a strong attention to detail and a quality‑focused mindset
  • Strong communication skills and a professional, positive attitude, with the confidence to work both independently and as part of a team
