Are you detail-driven and passionate about getting payroll right? As our Payroll Advisor, Benefits, you’ll be the go-to expert for the day-to-day processing, reconciliation, and governance of employee benefits within our payroll systems.
You’ll collaborate closely with our Compensation and Benefits team to ensure every benefit is processed on time, in line with HMRC regulations, and with absolute accuracy. From managing starters, movers, and leavers to ensuring compliance with salary sacrifice schemes and national minimum wage legislation, your work will directly protect our people and our business from overpayment risks. Based in our Central offices in Northampton we are able to offer an element of f hybrid working,
Pay, benefits and more:
We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £38,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days so you can enjoy a positive work-life balance. What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Be responsible for the end to end, day to day process with the launch of the new company salary sacrifice car scheme.
- Be responsible for all NMW/NLW checks ensuring all salary sacrifice meet legislative requirements.
- Be responsible for processing all starters, movers and leavers benefits, ensuring end dates are applied where necessary to ensure overpayments are mitigated.
- Partner with benefits on company car taxation (p11d and beyond) and other payrolled benefits such as healthcare – taking the lead on the systems and HMRC reporting.
- Be the point of contact for all benefit related queries directly with the compensation and benefits team
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Previous experience in a similar payroll-focused role – if you have used ADP Global View, this would be a bonus
- Up-to-date knowledge of HMRC guidance and payroll rules and regulations
- Strong experience of salary sacrifices schemes including payrolling of benefits and P11D processing.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide a high level of customer service to your internal customers
- Confidence in the use of IT systems, especially Microsoft Office packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook
