Regional Driver Trainer

Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Regional Driver Trainer to join our team in the Northampton, as part of the central operational driver trainer team. As a Regional Driver Trainer your area will be a 1h30 minute radius of Northampton and you will be working with all contracts across the region to ensure training requirement are delivered and drivers are safe and compliant, utilising all data provided by GXO systems to deliver targeted training in a timely manner.

 

This is a full time, permanent position, predominately working Monday to Friday, 09:00 till 17:00 with the opportunity to work from home on Fridays. With this being a regional role and regular travel to the sites in the region, we do ask for some flexibility.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £40,000.00 per annum and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Deliver engaging DCPC training sessions utilising modern learning techniques in line with customer requirements
  • Deliver Driver Core inductions in a timely manner to all new core drivers and temporary workers when required
  • Interrogate data at regular intervals to identify drivers requiring additional support while monitoring and developing driver performance through the use of telemetry
  • Provide subject matter expertise on safety matters for managers and supervisors

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Be able to articulate, check and challenge EC Driver and UK Domestic hours legislation and Working Time legislation requirements and means of managing
  • Have a working knowledge of safety schemes and accreditations including but not limited to ADR, FORS, COCKS, LLCS set
  • Holder of a C+E License is essential
  • Holder of an International Transport Manager CPC is desirable but not essential
