Warehouse Operative

Here at GXO Northampton, we are currently recruiting for full-time, permanent Warehouse Operatives to join our team in Swan Valley, supporting one of our new business wins! From receiving and storing products to picking, packing, and dispatching orders you will be involved in all aspects of our warehouse operations.
You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, contracted to 40 hours per week. We are currently recruiting for the following shift patterns:
- Rotating shift pattern: Week 1 – Monday to Friday / Week 2 – Sunday to Thursday, covering the hours of 06:00 to 14:00 and 14:00 to 22:00
- Night shift: Week 1 – Monday to Friday / Week 2 – Sunday to Thursday, covering the hours of 22:00 to 06:00

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Support goods-in, goods-out and stock control activities using the Warehouse Management System (WMS), including receiving deliveries, replenishment, order fulfilment and dispatch operations
- Pick and prepare stock safely and accurately, ensuring health, beauty, household and retail products are handled with care and attention to detail
- Work efficiently and flexibly to achieve daily productivity, service and accuracy targets, both independently and as part of a team within a fast-paced distribution centre environment
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working area by following all Health & Safety procedures, Safe Systems of Work and Standard Operating Procedures, while proactively reporting hazards and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Experience of working in a fast‑paced, operational or warehouse environment advantageous but not essential as full training can be provided
- A self-motivated and reliable approach, with the ability to work honestly and with integrity at all times
- The ability to work safely and accurately, following processes and SOPs with a strong attention to detail and a quality‑focused mindset
- Strong communication skills and a professional, positive attitude, with the confidence to work both independently and as part of a team
