Warehouse Operative
GXO is growing and we're looking for Warehouse Operatives to join our People Campus team in Northampton.
You'll support several of our warehouse sites across:
NN4 9BX, NN4 7JE, NN4 9FJ, NN4 5EZ, NN4 7BN and NN4 9EX
This is a permanent role offering a unique flexible working model, giving you the opportunity to work across different sites while building a long-term career with GXO.
Your Working Pattern:
You'll be employed under the GXO People Campus model, offering the security of a permanent role with the flexibility to work across multiple warehouse operations in Northampton.
Our People Campus colleagues work on an annualised hours contract, meaning your hours are designed to flex with customer demand throughout the year alongside your availability. While weekly hours may vary, you'll work an average of 30 hours per week across the year.
To support current business requirements, all successful candidates will initially work one of our fixed full-time shift patterns:
- Sunday to Thursday: 06:00-14:00 or 14:00-22:00
- Tuesday to Saturday: 06:00-14:00 or 14:00-22:00
After this, you'll move fully onto our People Campus flexible working model:
- Contracted to an average of 30 hours per week across the year
- Hours may increase during busier periods and reduce during quieter periods
- Your annual average will remain 30 hours per week

What You'll Be Doing:
- Working safely and following Health & Safety procedures
- Picking and checking stock accurately
- Preparing customer orders to a high standard
- Supporting housekeeping and warehouse operations
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Team player with a positive attitude, who is reliable, flexible and self-motivated
- Able to follow instructions and work accurately
- Comfortable with physical warehouse work
- Previous warehouse experience or a forklift licence is beneficial, but not essential
