Management Accountant

Working closely with operational leaders, you'll help provide clear financial reporting, meaningful performance insights and accurate management accounts that support day-to-day decision making. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your commercial understanding of a large logistics operation while building strong relationships across both finance and operational teams. This is a full time, permanent position working at either our Centre Point, Trafford Park or Wellingborough site, Monday to Friday 9:00 to 17:00 or 08:00 to 16:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Prepare weekly cost reports, monthly management accounts and KPI reporting to support business performance
- Complete month-end activities, including journals, balance sheet reconciliations in line with internal financial controls and audit requirements
- Analyse financial results and provide commentary to help operational teams understand performance
- Build strong relationships with operational managers and support them with financial insight and reporting
- Provide ad-hoc analysis and support to the Senior Finance Manager and wider finance team
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Actively studying towards a CIMA or ACCA qualification
- Strong excel skills, with the ability to analyse data and produce financial reports
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately to tight deadlines
- A positive, can-do approach with strong communication skills and the confidence to build relationships across the operation
