Warehouse Operative

Here at GXO, we’re looking for a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic team, working in partnership with our customer in Portbury, BS20 7XE
This is a hands-on role where you’ll be a key player in keeping our warehouse running smoothly, safely, and efficiently. If you enjoy a fast‑paced environment and take pride in getting things right, we’d love to hear from you.

 

You’ll be working on a full-timepermanent basis, 40 hours per week, working 5 days between Monday to Saturday, 13:00 to 21:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Pick, load, and despatch orders accurately and on time to meet customer requirements and KPIs
  • Receive, check, and put away stock efficiently using MHE
  • Process customer returns, including correct segregation of waste and packaging
  • Identify and escalate issues such as shortages, failures, or re-books promptly
  • Follow all warehouse procedures, health & safety standards, and good working practices

 

 What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Possession of a reach truck/counterbalance license, or willingness to complete the necessary training required 
  • Experience of material recycling/break down advantageous
  • Previous warehouse experience, preferably within a supply chain/retail environment would be advantageous
  • Due to location, a valid UK driving licence and own transport is preferred
  • You’ll be flexible regarding shift pattern
