Warehouse Operative

Here at GXO Portbury BS20 7EX, we’re looking for reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operatives to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.

You’ll work 40 hours per week, from 13:00 – 21:00, five days a week, on a rotating Monday to Friday / Tuesday to Saturday shift pattern.

 What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Pick, pack, load and despatch customer orders accurately and efficiently, meeting agreed targets and KPIs
  • Receive, move and put away stock safely and promptly, using MHE, Reach Truck/Counterbalance where required
  • Process customer returns and correctly segregate waste and packaging materials
  • Follow warehouse procedures and health & safety standards, promptly reporting any shortages, failures or issues to management

 

 What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Previous warehouse experience is a bonus and confident using, (or willing to learn) all types of MHE on site including, Reach, Counterbalance and PPT, as required safely and effectively
  • Experience of material recycling/break down advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate picking and high-quality work every time
  • Reliable, self-motivated team player with a flexible, can-do attitude
  • Experience of working within a retail warehouse environment would be advantageous
