HR administrator part-time

Here at GXO, we’re recruiting for a Part‑Time HR Administrator to support our Segen operation in Medway (Rochester). This is a 9‑month fixed‑term role, working 15 hours per week, where you’ll provide essential HR administrative support, ensuring accurate record‑keeping, supporting employee relations processes and contributing to a positive site culture.

We’re offering a salary of £8,482 (based on £28,275 FTE / £14.50 per hour), and pro rata of 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). Your benefits package includes a company sponsored pension scheme, life assurance and access to our benefits platform, including retail discounts.

 

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Maintain and update HR systems and personnel records, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Support employee relations processes, including note‑taking for meetings and preparing documentation
  • Manage HR administration such as absence, attendance and right‑to‑work records
  • Act as a first point of contact for HR queries, supporting managers and colleagues
  • Support engagement activities, reporting requirements and general HR administration

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally within HR
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A flexible, proactive approach with a willingness to learn and support a range of HR activities
