Class 2 Driver

Here at GXO Rotherham S66 8HN we're looking for Class 2 Driver to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of products to customers, ensuring all vehicle checks are completed and transport regulations are followed.
You'll be working on a full-time, permanent basis, averaging 48 hours per week, with shifts of approximately 9.6 hours per day. Start times can be from 4:00am, depending on operational requirements. While the role is typically worked Monday to Friday, your contract will be based on any 5 days out of 7, providing flexibility to meet business needs.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Carry out deliveries to various GXO depots
- Routes can vary depending on start time
- Maybe involved in loading and unloading the vehicle/trailer
- Manual Handling
- Communicate effectively with the transport office regarding any delays, issues, or changes during journeys and that all delivery paperwork is completed accurately and on time
- Guarantee the safe and legal operation of HGV vehicles at all times, complete safety checks before leaving site and on return to site
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Hold a valid Class 2 licence
- No more than 6 penalty points on your licence (no DD, DR, DG, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT endorsements)
- An up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph
- Commitment to safety and compliance with driving regulations
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work on your initiative
