Planning Analyst

Dedicated to the M&S operation at Thorncliffe, you’ll be responsible for leading all aspects of operational planning on site, ensuring resource and capacity plans are in line with customer volume forecasts and budgeted cost expectations.
This is a full-time, permanent role. The working hours are Monday to Friday 08:00 – 16:00, with some flexibility required. This is logistics after all!

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Build & communicate out efficient daily and weekly plans that provide required capacities and fulfil customer service expectations.
- Facilitate timely communications with agency regarding operational requirements, recruitment & training plans.
- Maintain a great working relationship with all teams internally and externally, through building understanding of an operational
- Oversee quality of operational input into various planning and reporting tools: rota, reports, planning models etc.
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Experience in demand, capacity, and resource planning, preferably in third party logistics or a similar environment
- Be analytical with a high level of IT capability, including building and developing spreadsheets and databases to manipulate data
- Confident communication skills as you’ll be liaising with multiple functions across the business, such as operations, finance and HR, senior management and the customer
