Class 1 Driver

We offer fixed 4-day shift patterns, primarily running from Friday to Monday or Saturday to Tuesday, with start times between 3:30 am and 8:30 am. Shifts typically finish in the afternoon or early evening, giving you more of your day back. Weekend work is required and all shifts are planned in advance to provide consistency and help you maintain a healthy work-life balance.

What you will do on a typical day:

 

  • Safely deliver stock to Co-op stores on a multi-drop route
  • Unload chilled, frozen, and ambient goods at each store using roll cages
  • Collect empty cages and store waste for return to the depot
  • Perform thorough vehicle checks before and after your shift to ensure safety and compliance
  • Accurately complete all delivery paperwork and documentation
  • Maintain on-time deliveries while following company procedures and standards

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • A valid Class 1 Driving license, CPC and  Digi tacho card
  • No more than 6 penalty points on your licence (no TT, IN, DD, DR, or DG endorsements)
  • Experience with refrigerated vehicles (preferred, not essential)
  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to driving regulations
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work on your own initiative
