General Manager

Here at GXO, we’re seeking a General Manager, to join our NHS Supply Chain contract in Suffolk Park. You will hold full accountability for the operational, commercial and people performance of the site. Leading a complex, fast-paced warehouse operation, you will ensure safe, efficient and customer-focused delivery across inbound, outbound, inventory, returns and quality.

 

You will drive continuous improvement, develop leaders at all levels and ensure all customer SLAs, KPIs, and financial targets are achieved – while operating fully in line with GXO standards, legal requirements and best practice.

 

This is a full-time, permanent position. You will work Monday to Friday, 09:00 till 17:00.

We’re looking to offer a salary between £70,000 - £80,000 per annum depending on experience, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Lead site operations end-to-end, ensuring safe, compliance and efficient warehouse performance aligned to customer and contractual requirements
  • Develop and inspire leaders, building strong succession plans, high engagement and a performance-driven, inclusive culture
  • Drive continuous improvement and transformation, delivering productivity, quality and customer-experience improvements
  • Own commercial and financial performance, managing budgets, resource planning and identifying efficiency opportunities
  • Act as senior customer and stakeholder lead, ensuring strong relationships, high standards of safety, compliance and ethical practice

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Senior leadership experience within logistics, warehousing or a fast-paced operational environment
  • Experience delivering operational change, transformation or CI programmes
  • Strong commercial acumen with budget and financial ownership
