Team Leader

Are you an experienced warehouse professional looking for your next step into leadership? Do you thrive in a fast‑paced environment where quality, accuracy and teamwork are essential? If you enjoy supporting colleagues, driving performance and maintaining high operational standards, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

We’re looking for a Team Leader to join our GXO Direct operation supporting Revolution Beauty at our Swadlincote site. In this role, you’ll lead, guide and motivate a team of warehouse operatives, ensuring daily tasks across picking, packing, goods‑in and despatch are completed safely, efficiently and to customer standards.

This is a full‑time, permanent role, working a 5 on 2 off rotating shift pattern (05:30–14:00  and 13:30–22:00).

Pay, benefits and more:

We’re looking to offer a salary of £30,931.00 per annum and 33 days annual leave. Your benefits package includes flexible dental insurance plans, a company sponsored pension scheme, a 24/7 online GP service, life assurance and a fully comprehensive employee assistance programme. You’ll also have access to our MyBenefits platform offering a variety of high street discounts, a cycle to work scheme, cashback cards, a saving scheme and much more!

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Act as the first point of contact for colleagues, supporting them with process queries and day‑to‑day operational needs
  • Oversee daily workflow, balancing multiple workstreams and ensuring tasks are delivered in line with customer expectations and site priorities
  • Maintain strong communication with the Shift Manager, escalating issues, aligning on targets and ensuring effective handovers
  • Carry out quality checks, investigate discrepancies, complete incident reports, and ensure compliance with Health & Safety and site procedures
  • Support training, monitor performance, uphold security and housekeeping standards, and promote a positive, collaborative team culture

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Experience in a similar warehouse or leadership role (preferred)
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑changing environment
  • Excellent communication, numeracy and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships and lead by example
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and bank holidays when required
