Continuous Improvement Manager BU Site (Tilburg, NL)

 

At GXO we are looking for a Continuous Improvement Manager Site who will play a key role in strengthening operational performance within a dynamic 3PL environment within our site in Tilburg with a known customer in Fashion & Retail.

The purpose of this role is entrench the Lean program within the site, foster collaborations and best practice throughout the business unit with other CI specialists. But the site will be your main focus!


What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • You implement the Lean program within the site and ensures it aligns with the organization’s strategic objectives.
  • You create and manage Lean deployment plans for the site, providing clear structure and timelines for improvement initiatives.
  • You drive Lean adoption by guiding and motivating teams and ensuring successful execution of improvement projects.
  • You promote best‑practice sharing, including insights from Kaizen events, to support consistent and scalable improvements.
  • You deliver on‑site Lean training to strengthen problem‑solving, standardization, and continuous improvement capabilities.
  • You align with the CI Manager BU on CI topics for your focus area.
  • You are the linking pin for Continuous Improvement across the site, for the operation together with the team
  • The training department (with a Team lead training and 8 trainers) are under your responsibility. The on site QESH team report with a dottered line to you.


What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management or a related field (master’s preferred) with at least 1-3 years of experience in a complex, fast-paced organization a/o comparable role.
  • Proven experience in a 3PL logistics environment
  • Demonstrated experience with and knowledge of Lean methods, Continuous Improvement, 5S implementation, waste reduction, and rejection management, with the ability to balance short-term operational priorities with long-term CI initiatives.
  • You excel in hands-on process improvement, naturally connect with people at all levels of the organization, and know how to engage them in driving continuous improvement
  • Strong analytical and financial skills, with the ability to interpret operational data, identify improvement opportunities and translate insights into measurable operational and cost improvements.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across the business unit and your team.
  • Fluent in English (Dutch is a nice to have).
