Warehouse Operative

We are looking for a Warehouse Operative to join our team at the Greene King site in Tilbury. Working as part of a two-person team, you will safely and accurately load delivery vehicles with kegs, casks, and cases for customer deliveries.

This is a full-time, permanent role. You will be working Sunday to Thursday on the night shift from 22:00 to 06:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Manually handle products weighing up to 70kg using pump trucks and shrink-wrap equipment
  • Complete loading documentation and carry out accuracy checks to ensure the correct stock is loaded onto each vehicle
  •  Load an average of four vehicles per shift while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity
  • Accurately pick and prepare customer orders for dispatch
  •  Follow all agreed procedures and policies to ensure a safe, legal, and efficient working environment while maintaining consistent quality standards

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Good level of physical fitness and ability to undertake frequent manual handling
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Commitment to health and safety procedures
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics or drinks distribution environment
  • Experience using pump trucks and handling kegs or other heavy goods
