We are currently seeking a Carrier Team Lead Administrator at our Screwfix site in Trentham, Stoke. This role supports the effective management of carrier performance, costs, compliance and customer service through accurate reporting, data analysis and process administration.

 

This is a full time, permanent position, predominately working Monday to Friday, covering the hours of 8am to 4pm. However, we do ask for some flexibility, this is logistics after all.

You’ll be paid a salary up to £28,000 depending on experience and receive 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays. What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Manage carrier invoicing and claims processes, ensuring accurate validation, reconciliation, reporting, and timely resolution of discrepancies
  • Produce, maintain and analyse operational performance reports, delivering actionable insights and recommendations to support business and carrier performance reviews
  • Maintain the Carrier Management System (CMS2), ensuring high levels of data accuracy, integrity and compliance across all records and reporting
  • Monitor carrier and trailer activity, identifying trends, risks, non-conformances and opportunities to improve service, efficiency and operational performance
  • Provide administrative and analytical support to the Carrier Management team, responding to customer and operational enquiries while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data, produce meaningful management reports and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, supported by proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and PowerPoint, with experience using carrier, transport management or reporting systems
  • Proven experience within a logistics, transport or supply chain environment, with an understanding of carrier networks and last-mile delivery operations
  • Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, build stakeholder relationships and maintain a high level of accuracy
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, with strong problem-solving abilities and the confidence to work independently, collaboratively and challenge existing processes to drive efficiencies
