What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Deploy business analytics solutions, tools or application for internal and external users
- Gather and analyze business requirements and end user specifications for new products/functionalities and take ownership to improve existing tools
- Coordinate development and testing with the requestor, business analytics, development and product teams. Testing will include working with Operations stakeholders directly at the site in-person.
- Independently design, develop, document and deploy high-quality dashboards, reports, analytical tools and other user-friendly functionalities
- Respond and triage queries from emails and tickets prompt and professionally
What you need to succeed at GXO:
At a minimum, you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience and hands-on experience working directly with on-site warehouse or distribution center operations.
- Hands on experience in querying cloud-native data warehouses (either of Google Big Query, Amazon RedShift or Microsoft Fabric) to support ad-hoc reporting.
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts including ETL, advanced SQL skills including the ability to comprehend SQL Query Execution Plans, experience in refactoring legacy SQL queries, validating query results for end user consumption and customer presentations.
- Experience in improving data governance by configuring available scopes and permissions, improving data quality across the enterprise data warehouse by encapsulating complex logic in UDF, TVF & SP’s
- Experience in developing and deploying interactive web applications using HTML/CSS/JavaScript
- Demonstrated proficiency in prioritizing and completing multiple complex projects within set or expedited targets in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive in communication with stakeholders and ability to conceptualize and learn quickly with applied thinking of the business logic
It’d be great if you also have:
- Master's degree in mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
- 3 years of experience with reporting systems, developing and deploying web applications, statistical modeling, designing and implementing business intelligence solutions and having up to date knowledge of BI tools such as PowerBI, Google Data Studio and advanced spreadsheet skills (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, INDEX, MATCH and array functions such as BYROW, BYCOL, SCAN functions)
- Experience with JavaScript libraries such as jQuery
