Logistics at full potential
As Business Unit Manager Engineering & Projects, you are primarily responsible for optimizing and implementing continuous improvement / operational excellence ideas within the various sites of the Business Unit South-East in Eindhoven and Venray. In addition, you will be responsible for setting up and further developing a LEAN culture within the Business Unit and you will lead the Business Intelligence team. In this role, you report directly to the Business Unit Director.
You are not alone in this position, you will receive help from your team consisting of Site Engineers, Quality and Data analysts and Key Users and you will work closely with the Site Managers. In addition, you will work closely with the other BU MT members to achieve the intended result.
Our BU South-East consist of 2 campuses; in Venray and Eindhoven with a wide range of customers; from fashion to industry.
Your tasks and responsibilities as Business Unit Manager Engineering & Projects:
- Participate in the Business Unit MT and report on the progress of the projects at the various locations
- To take charge of and act as a point of contact for all improvement projects within the BU
- You know how to convince the responsible Site Managers and get them on board with various initiatives that will contribute to the Continuous Improvement objectives at the location, taking into account the available budgets.
- Ensuring that the knowledge on the sites or among individuals is widely supported within the BU
- Acting as the designer of various project plans and business cases in the context of Continuous Improvement
- Key figure between the day-to-day operation, management team and the customer
- Proactively thinking along with our Site & Operations Managers on the basis of analyses and your logistics expertise to optimize the logistics processes and make them more efficient (warehouse layout, WMS, 5's, flows, automation, etc.).
- Constantly expanding your knowledge through internal and external training in engineering, automation, warehousing, supply chain & logistics trends and know how to take your team along with you.

What do you need to be successful:
- At least a number of years of experience in a similar Engineering/Projects or Operational Excellence role within a dynamic organization
- Knowledge LEAN management / WMS
- Analytical thinking skills and strong leadership skills
- Strong communication skills, at least in English
