Team Leader
Ready to step into a role where you’re at the heart of daily operations? As a Warehouse Team Leader, you’ll lead your team on the floor, take ownership of delivery, and be the go‑to person for operational queries and support.
Here at GXO, we’re looking to recruit Warehouse Team Leaders for a variety of shift patterns — to join our City Plumbing Supplies contract at our Warrington site. As a Team Leader you will be responsible for the successful delivery of the key operational tasks in relation to the team you will lead, the first point of contact for all operational task related queries.
We are offering full-time, permanent positions with AM, PM and night shifts available, Monday to Friday (06:00–14:00, 14:00–22:00 or 22:00 – 06:00).

We’re looking to offer a salary up to £31,000 per annum and 22 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Working alongside the team FLM, you will take accountability for the distribution of the work amongst your team
- Acting as the first point of contact for colleague queries in relation to workload, you will ensure that the team performance is in line with expected KPI’s
- Ensure you are working with the FLM to lead the team in hitting the primary and secondary KPI’s linked to the contractual performance indicators, addressing and developing individuals where performance may fall short at any point
- Reviewing individuals’ daily achievements and supporting them with getting the best out of them by being an motivational and proactive leader
- Ensure that your team and their work areas are maintained to the acceptable Safety standards, with a focus on Road to Zero
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Proven experience in managing an operational team in a fast-paced warehouse
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on maintaining on-site engagement
- Ensure effective communication is delivered to colleagues and management teams on a daily basis
- A high level of competence in data analytics and strong use of Excel/Google Sheets, able to provide supporting information and analysis in the form of spreadsheets and other visual aids
