Finance Business Partner

We’re currently on the search for a Finance Business Partner on a full-time, permanent basis for our Technology & Consumer Business Unit, with a base site in Northampton (but location is flexible). Heading up the GXO Finance teams across multiple sites with strong thought leadership with a mixture of Open Book and Closed Book contracts, within both warehousing and transport.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £78,000.00 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). You will be working for an accredited employer of CIMA and ACCA.

 

This is a full time, permanent position, predominately working Monday – Friday office hours however, flexibility is required, this is logistics after all!

 

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

·        Ensuring robustness of accounting within GXO and visibility of results to the customer through weekly and period reporting

·        Confirm clarity of balance sheets across each area of the contract to present to customer and to satisfy internal SOX requirements, being able to identify any risks or opportunities

·        Weekly and monthly customer reviews and production of periodic/monthly review packs

·        Robust annual budgeting & Monthly forecasting

·        Lead financial controls regarding Gainshare and Gainshare elements of the contract.  Work with the operational team to ensure that maximum is delivered in line with contract.

·        Be part of change team by analysing any financial impacts of projects for inclusion into business cases to the business.

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

·        Proven experience in a similar fast-paced finance management role

·        Strong understanding of open book contracts

·        Experience in the distribution sector or similar in size and complexity is highly desirable

·        Experienced in finding cost efficiencies and potential savings

·        Exposure to building strong business relationships with both internal and external customers

·        Fully CIMA or ACCA (or equivalent) qualified, essential
