Due to Growth, we are looking for an Operational Support Manager to join our team in Northern Europe
- This is a crucial role to our business in ensuring smooth and efficient functioning of our operations
- There will be a high travel intensity within the region
- Fluency in English & Dutch is required, German is a big plus
- Must be from a Logistics/warehouse environment
You will execute the operational implementation plan to ensure a smooth start-up and/or redirect an operation back on track. Managing key clients’ projects within scope, time and costs. With this role you will make daily operational decisions.
What you do on a typical day – Operation Support Manager
- Expected to give expert support (SME) on: IVC, Process Controlling, Process improvement, scheduling in workload as workforce, etc
- Managing turnarounds and existing teams bysupporting staff gaining trust, building relationships and create leadership skills
- Partner with key functional groups that are part of implementation (HR, IT, Operations, etc.) to develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and provide data inputs for those groups where required.
- Provide labor planning tool tailored to the client’s business and agreed upon operating processes.
- Identify and procure all necessary capital expense items to support successful turnaround of operation.
- Secure that logistic requirements are met in product design, supply chain developments and related quality performance.
- Secure availability of accurate implementation plans for engineering changes and challenge the project on timing and supply chain impact and monitor proper execution
- Define and execute projects to drive the preparation within the sector.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
What you need to succeed at GXO
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area with accompanying high level analytical skills.
- Broad experience in the field of Logistics and how a warehouse works, ideally some knowledge of automation.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience a complex and multidimensional organisation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluency in English & Dutch is required, German is a big plus
