General Purpose: A Warehouse Associate performs various manual functions within a warehouse work environment.

The hourly pay rate for this is $20.00 GXO, in good faith, believes this is the pay rate for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted rate and this rate is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California. This rate may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for hourly shift differential. Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Correctly picks, checks, prepares and manifests orders for shipments.
- Safely loads outbound freight; receives inbound loads.
- Safely stages material within designated areas.
- Properly builds displays, folding cartons and palletizing product; sorts damaged product.
- Safely manually wraps pallets with shrink wrap.
- Safely operates various equipment and tools.
- Correctly utilizes a warehouse management system and maintains appropriate work documents.
- Properly inspects trailers prior to loading or unloading freight.
- Maintains the cleanliness and order of work areas.
- Regular and consistent attendance and punctuality are job requirements.
- The ability to get along with others and non-violence is a job requirement to consistently promote a positive team environment.
- Assist other employees in the performance of their assigned duties when necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- One year of experience in warehouse operations preferred.
Required Licenses, Certifications and/or Knowledge:
- Knowledge of warehouse operations.
- Principles and practices of effective customer service.
- May require material handling certification.
Skills and Abilities Required to Perform Job:
Cognitive:
Reasoning, reading, language and communication skills, both oral and written are required on the job as well as basic mathematics. The ability to follow specific directions and perform a variety of duties in an environment which may often change is a requirement. Work within precise standards of accuracy and within time limits and rates information using standards that can be measured or checked. Ability to coordinate and perform multiple tasks at a fast pace. Ability to judge distances accurately. Repeat tasks of short duration according to a set procedure. Evaluate information using measurable standards to make decision based on that information. Ability to acquire and maintain required certifications. Ability to read gauges properly. The ability to get along with others and non-violence is required to consistently promote a positive team environment. The ability to attend work with punctuality is required on a regular and consistent basis. The ability to work as a productive and successful member of a group or team in the work environment is required.
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
Work is performed in a warehouse and office environment. Working environments, include but are not limited to warehouse, climate controlled office and a variety of work environments and outside travel. Work activities include normal range of motion. May be required to lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing up to 70 pounds. A full range of body motion is required on the job to include frequent sitting, bending, stooping, crouching, lifting, carrying, grasping, pinching, feeling, walking, standing, climbing, driving, pushing/pulling, handling, balancing, reaching on all planes. Fine motor coordination, fine finger dexterity, manual dexterity, eye-hand-foot coordination are required. Seeing (naturally or with correction), listening, hearing, talking, communicating, spatial, form and depth perception, color discrimination, and field vision is also needed. Performs variety of tasks involving dexterous use of legs, feet, arms, hands and fingers and tools and equipment. May be exposed to excessive temperatures, noise, dirt/dust, hazardous chemicals, traffic hazards, variable light, vibration and moving machinery or equipment. May be required to wear protective hard hat, reflective clothing, ear wear, eye wear, gloves, footwear or other required protective attire.
